PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball honors for the week ending Nov. 22.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Breanna Stewart • Sr. • F • UConn

Stewart produced a game-high 24 points to go with nine rebounds, four assists and four blocks in 100-56 win at No. 7/10 Ohio State on Monday. The senior forward went 8-of-15 from the floor and knocked down 7-of-8 attempts from the free throw line in 25 minutes of action. Stewart enters the Huskies’ game against Kansas State (Monday, Nov. 23) 16 points shy of becoming the ninth member of UConn’s 2,000 point club.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Taylor Emery • Fr. • G • Tulane

Emery averaged 11 points on 58.8-percent shooting and 3.5 rebounds in a pair of games for the Green Wave. The freshman guard finished with eight points while shooting 3-of-5 from the field on the road against No. 7/14 Florida State. On Tuesday, Emery scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in a win over Jackson State.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL   

Jada Payne • Sr. • G/F • East Carolina

Averaged 21 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and eclipsed the 1,500 career points mark in a 3-0 week for the Pirates.

Courtney Williams • Sr. • G • USF

Scored 23 points, pulled in five rebounds and produced three steals at No. 5/4 Baylor on Thursday.

Alicia Froling • So. • F • SMU

Averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds and 2.5 blocks on the week, including a 26-point, 14-rebound performance against TCU.

Feyonda Fitzgerald • Jr. • G • Temple

Recorded 23 points per game, 8.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists in a 1-1 week for the Owls.

Kolby Morgan • So. • G • Tulane

Averaged 23.5 points and shot 8-of-14 from long range on the week for Tulane.
