On more than one occasion this preseason, UConn football head coach Bob Diaco has stated that his two starting safeties, Andrew Adams and Obi Melifonwu, are the best tandem in the American Athletic Conference.
During his pregame press conference for the 2015 season opener, the UConn football coach said he would be disappointed if the duo wasn’t the best this season.
