During the 2014 season, the UConn football team very rarely scored on their opening drive of the game nor of the second half. In last week’s win over the Villanova Wildcats, it was quite the opposite.
The UConn football team opened up their first drive with a Bryant Shirreffs touchdown pass to Tommy Myers. In the second half, it was Ron Johnson who punched it in after Shirreffs and Myers hooked up on a long pass play.
Getting off to a fast start against anyone is beneficial but a quick one against the Army Black Knights this afternoon could be the difference in the game.
