Video: Diaco Hands Keys To UConn Football Offense To Shirreffs

For the third straight season, the UConn football team will open up with a new quarterback under center.

In 2013, it was Chandler Whitmer while in 2014 it was Casey Cochran, who now a part of the UConn IMG Network pregame radio show. In 2015, it will be the North Carolina State transfer, Bryant Shirreffs.

The last time Shirreffs played in a regular season game was November 16, 2013 when he had three rushes for eight yards. Last year, Shirreffs ran the scout team in UConn football head coach Bob Diaco’s first year.

Now he’ll guide the UConn football offense under new offensive coordinator Frank Verducci.
